Ty Shattuck, President & Chief Executive Officer
Ty Shattuck is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of senior management experience in the aerospace & defense and high-tech industries. A former Vice-President at L-3 Communications, Ty spearheaded corporate, group and divisional initiatives within L-3 to enhance product development, lifecycle management and production management. As a Director at Wescam, he established the Program Management Office (PMO), where he had responsibility for the successful delivery of global programs. A Professional Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, and a former Air Force Officer, Ty has a passion for bringing great ideas to life and writes, lectures and speaks regularly on this subject. Ty has a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Dr. Eiji Yafuso, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Eiji Yafuso has spent his 20 year career at the forefront of advanced electro-optical systems research. Formerly the manager of the advanced optical design and metrology group at General Atomics, Eiji earned his PhD in Optical Sciences from the Optical Sciences Center of the University of Arizona and was the recipient of patents in optical imaging, laser communications, and metrology. Eiji has managed technical teams for companies such as Trex Enterprises, and Science and Technology International, developing a wide array of optical technologies, including hyper spectral, high-speed and infrared imaging.
Rick Court, Chief Financial Officer
Rick Court has held various positions throughout his career in finance, marketing and technology. As CEO and part-owner, Rick helped to build Loadlink into the technology standard for the transportation industry. After completing sale of the company, Rick joined an investment banking firm, completing several successful mergers, acquisitions and financings in the technology field. Rick has also spent time as President of a start-up technology company and a local transportation firm. Rick holds an MBA from McMaster University and a Masters Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics from York University.
John Bastedo, Vice President, Security & Surveillance Division
John Bastedo, formerly a General Manager of Operations for a division of L-3 Communications, has over 25 years of operational experience and expertise in the high-tech surveillance industry. While at L-3/Wescam, John oversaw Engineering, Manufacturing, Material Control, Planning, and QA. He led a staff of 200 and grew plant revenue in three years from $27M/yr to $100M/yr. During his time at L-3/Wescam John managed the successful introduction of numerous industry-altering technologies into the surveillance industry.
Declan Keogh, Vice President, Industrial & Infastructure Division
Declan Keogh has spent his academic and industry career involved in research and development for a variety of new products and technologies. As the Vice President of the Industrial & Infrastructure Division, Declan is responsible for infrastructure, asset mapping and high-speed manufacturing process control applications. He also oversees business development activities within the industrial and infrastructure sectors. Declan has a Bachelors of Engineering and Management and obtained a Masters of Applied Science from McMaster University as a member of the Brockhouse Institute of Materials Research and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
Tom Hallman, Vice President, Entertainment Division (President of Pictorvision)
Tom Hallman is an experienced executive with over 15 years in senior management in the entertainment industry. A former VP of Production Operations for the Sony Pictures Digital Authoring Center, Tom demonstrated a strict disciplinary approach for efficient business operations. During his time at Sony, Tom was instrumental in the growth of DVD at the studio and in the launch of new technologies including, Blu-ray high definition and BD-J interactive discs, and the UMD movie format for portable video games. Tom has a BS in Telecommunications from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a MA in Communications Management from the Annenberg School of Communications, University of Southern California. Tom is the founder of the Cinema Innovators Network (Cinners) and a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
Nancy Kunysz, Vice President, Finance
Nancy Kunysz is a seasoned executive with over 12 years of senior financial management experience in the aerospace sector. As the Director of Finance at Pictorvision Inc. and then Trivaris Ltd., Nancy managed and led all aspects of financial management within their portfolio of companies. Her responsibilities ranged from leading valuation exercises, negotiating credit, supporting government and cross-border issues, tax management, as well as daily financial management. Nancy has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and is a Certified General Accountant.
Jim Olson, Director Product Development & Operations
Jim Olson has spent over 25 years in the development of solid-state image sensors and electronic camera and image processing systems. During his career, Jim has held various positions responsible for development and production of sensors and camera systems, image processing and other electro-optical systems. He has led development team responsible for a highly integrated wireless image capture systems and a programmable single chip camera processor. Jim has spent some time consulting on applied image science and multimedia communications. As the Product Development and Operations Manager for PV Labs, Jim is responsible for engineering, manufacturing, material control, planning and quality assurance for all divisions. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University and an MS in Optics from the University of Rochester.

Mike Lewis
Mike Lewis, formerly the Product Development Manager for the entertainment division of L-3 Communications / Wescam, has over 23 years of experience in the development of stabilized gimbal technology products. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto.
Mike Vellekoop
Mike Vellekoop, formerly the software team lead at Wescam, has over 30 years of experience in the design and development of software and systems. Mike’s experience includes the design of software applications for flight simulations while at CAE Electronics and 3D animation while with TRF Inc. For PV Labs, Mike is responsible for the software requirements of our stabilized camera platforms. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
